The Prime Minister takes part in TICAD 8

Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed is attending TICAD 8 in Tunis alongside several heads of state and government from the African continent.

Several issues were discussed at the economic forum, which closed yesterday, including the revival of the African economy and its resilience in the post-coronavirus phase.

Organized jointly by Japan, the AU Commission, the United Nations, UNDP and the World Bank. The main objective of this 8th edition is to identify ways of achieving resilience, inclusion and abundance in Africa in a crisis context marked by the global epidemic of the new coronavirus and global warming. TICAD 8 aims to promote high-level political dialogue between African leaders and development partners, and to mobilize support for Africa’s self-reliant development initiatives.

On the sidelines of the opening day of the 8th edition of TICAD in Tunis, Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed met his Somali counterpart Mr. Hamza Abdi Barreh.

Discussions focused on ways and means of further deepening existing relations between the Republic of Djibouti and the sister nation of Somalia.
