The Prime Minister attends the Korea-Africa 2024 Summit

Prime Minister Abdoulkader Kamil Mohamed is taking part in the Korea-Africa 2024 Summit in Seoul, alongside several heads of state and government from the African continent. On his arrival in Seoul, the South Korean capital, to take part in the Korea-Africa 2024 Summit, under the theme “The Future We Build Together: Shared Growth, Sustainability and Solidarity”. On arrival at Seoul International Airport, the Prime Minister was welcomed by the Korean government’s special representative for the summit, Mr. Park Chong. During this first bilateral audience, the two men discussed their countries’ ambitions for cooperation, as well as the crucial issues of peace in both the Far East and the Horn of Africa.

Djibouti aspires to play a more active role on the international stage by raising awareness of peace issues, deepening understanding of global warming, and responding to the urgent need to develop key sectors such as the blue economy, mineral resources and the salt industry.

The Korea-Africa 2024 Summit represents a unique opportunity to strengthen ties between the two continents. The Prime Minister of Djibouti will emphasize the importance of shared, sustainable and inclusive growth.
